Preface

Preface Introduction    Geology    Soil Descriptions    Mapping    Interpretive Maps    References

This project was done in cooperation with Amy Shober, Neil Manos, Jennifer Sporre, and Mike Bzdil.  Our group name was the Supersols, a name meaning excellent soils.  With their help and under the instruction of Dr. Gary Petersen, I developed this project.  My deepest thanks is extended to them all.  We mapped Penn State’s Agronomy Farm on several days.  As newcomers to soil mapping, we took our time and made sure everything was covered.  I enjoyed spending time outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed this project.

In addition to this printed copy, I also constructed and interactive webpage based on the project.  To run the webpage simply places the CD-ROM in a CD-ROM drive, open up your specific drive, and then double click on the index.htm file.  This will open up your Internet browser software and allow you to interact with the webpage.  Be sure to maximize the browser for best viewing options.  I recommend using the CD-ROM in conjunction with the printed copy.  The CD-ROM has several added features such as an interactive map, links to current WebPages, and other technological advances.

I hope you enjoy this project.  I have spent many hours designing, printing, and mapping and I am very proud of it.  Thank you and enjoy.
